Electric Wood Crushing Machine Overview

The Electric Wood Crushing Machine is also known as an Electric Wood Crusher, Wood Shredder, or Wood Chipping Machine. It is designed to process various types of wood and agricultural biomass into small particles or sawdust with a size of 3-5 mm. It is widely used in wood pellet production lines, charcoal production, compost preparation, mushroom substrate, and biomass fuel manufacturing. We offer various models of wood crushing machines with capacities ranging from 300kg/h to 4,000kg/h to meet your biomass processing needs.

Our wood crusher machine features a compact structure and simple design. Unlike a wood hammer mill, which crushes wood by hammer blades, this wood crusher grinds material by cutters and rotors. Driven by an electric motor, the wood crusher has low noise and stable working performance.

Electric Biomass Crushing Machine Working Principle

The biomass crushing machine works by using high-speed rotating blades to crush raw materials. Wood pieces are fed into the hopper, and as they pass through the crushing chamber, the blades chop, shear, and pulverize the material. Ground materials with a size less than the screen diameter will be discharged from the screen hole, while the larger materials will still remain in the grinding chamber and be re-crushed by blades & rotors. The crushed particles exit through a screen, determining the output size.

    Structure and Components

    • Feeding Hopper – Where raw material is loaded.
    • Crushing Chamber – Contains high-speed rotating blades.
    • Screen Mesh – Determines the output size of sawdust (usually 2–10 mm).
    • Electric Motor – Drives the rotor and provides power.
    • Outlet – Releases the crushed wood material.
    • Frame/Base – Sturdy support structure for stable operation.

    Optional Configuration:

    • Cyclone separator: For dust collection and cleaner output.
    • Conveyor system: For automatic feeding or discharge.
    • Dust filter bag: For eco-friendly operation indoors.
    • Variable screen sizes: For making biomass particles in different sizes.
    • Integrated control cabinet: For monitoring motor performance and safety.

    Wood Crusher Machine Features

Electric Powered: Clean and energy-efficient, suitable for indoor or urban areas.
Wide Application: Can crush wood logs, branches, waste wood, pallets, coconut shells, bamboo, straw, etc.
High Efficiency: Fast crushing speed and continuous output.
Adjustable Output Size: Via interchangeable screen meshes. Crushed wood material is about 3-5 mm and can be used for biomass pelletizing directly.
Low Noise & Vibration: Compared to diesel-powered models.
Durable Blades: Made of alloy steel for long service life.
Easy Maintenance: Compact structure and simple design. Replaceable wear parts and accessible interior.

    Wood Crusher Machine Applications

    • Wood pellet production. Biomass energy plants
    • Mushroom cultivation. Compost manufacturing
    • Charcoal briquette making
    • Animal bedding production
    • Garden mulch and landscaping

    Tips for Use

    • Raw materials’ moisture below 15% for best results.
    • Do not overload the hopper.
    • Regularly check blade sharpness and tighten bolts.
    • Use a proper screen size based on the product’s needs.
    • Clean dust and debris regularly to prolong the lifespan.

      Wood Crusher Machine FAQs

The machine can crush various types of dry wood and biomass materials, including:

      • Wood logs and branches
      • Wooden pallets and planks
      • Coconut shells, bamboo, and corn stalks
      • Tree bark, straw, and other agricultural waste

The output size typically ranges from 3 mm to 10 mm, depending on the screen mesh used. Different mesh sizes can be customized to meet specific requirements.

We recommend processing dry or semi-dry wood (moisture <15%) for better crushing efficiency and to prevent clogging. Wet wood may reduce performance and wear down blades faster.

Yes. We supply spare blades, screen meshes, bearings, and other essential components to support long-term use.

Yes. Optional cyclone dust collectors or filter bags can be added to reduce dust and keep the working environment clean.

Our machines include features like emergency stop buttons, thermal overload protection, and protective covers to ensure operator safety.

      Consider:

      • Type and size of raw materials
      • Required capacity (kg/h)
      • Desired output size
      • Power availability
